Dr. Drew Sets Record Straight About Jeff Conaway on Twitter

After a hospital visit, the Celebrity Rehab host tells his Twitter followers that he does not believe the actor overdosed on medication

Contrary to popular belief, Jeff Conaway did not overdose on prescription meds.

At least, that's what Dr. Drew Pinsky says after visiting the actor in the hospital late last night.

He tweets—

"Just visited Jeff Conaway. He is stable & looks like he will recover from his pneumonia. Not an OD like press is alleging & certainly not dead."

Fans started asking questions, and in classic Dr. Drew style, he tweeted some answers.

"@drdrew 'Why is his manager giving all the reports that he's in a Coma?' He's in an induced coma. He's actually on a Propafol drip"

"@drdrew 'That also means he's intubated and on a vent.' Right. Pneumonia with sepsis. No evidence of intentional OD."

Thanks for the update Dr. Drew!

Conaway was rushed to an Encino hospital earlier last week after being found unconscious in his home.
