It was about 18 months ago that Joe Jonas first hinted that he plans to go solo.

He exclusively told us back then that he was in the studio and had already written about five songs.

Well, the time has finally come...

Joe's first single, "See No More," has a release date.

The tune, co-written by Jonas and Chris Brown (yes, that Chris Brown) will first hit radio on June 3 followed by going on sale digitally on June 13.

"It's an emotional song that I've been trying to go with for awhile now," Jonas told E! News on Saturday at 102.7 KIIS FM's Wango Tango concert series. "I feel like, a lot of times for artists it's important for them to just write out how they're feeling in their music, and I was able to do that in this song."

Jonas said he was inspired by "different things I was going through and the place I was at in my life."

No word if said inspiration includes ex-girlfriends like Taylor Swift, Ashley Greene and/or the infamous drama involving Demi Lovato.

As for the entire debut solo album, that doesn't hit stores until Sept. 6.

Joe follows in the out-on-my-own footsteps of younger brother Nick, who took a break from the famous trio when he released an album with his band, Nick Jonas and the Administration.

Now we want to hear from you. Looking forward to Joe's solo debut? Does he have what it takes to make it on his own? Sound off below.
