Selena Gomez is getting ready to hit the road with her first headlining tour.
As you may have already heard, her band Selena Gomez & the Scene is planning on performing a tribute to Britney Spears during their concerts.
How far is Gomez taking this Britney thing? Will we see her in a "Hit Me Baby One More Time" schoolgirl uniform? How about dancing around with an extra-large snake on her shoulders?

"It's going to be a lot of fun," Gomez told me last night at Spears' St. Bernard Project fundraiser for the ongoing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. "People ask if I am going to be wearing her costumes. It's not going to be that, because I could never be Britney. It's more that she inspired me, so we are going to a bunch of her songs in like a big huge mashup."
Gomez's favorite Spears tune? "I'm a Slave 4 U!" "It's when she was becoming a woman," the Wizards of Waverly Place starlet said. "It's controversy and I love it."
Also at last night's benefit were Kellan Lutz, Fashion Police cop Kelly Osbourne, Victoria Justice, Hilary Duff and hubby Mike Comrie, Vampire Diaries beauty Katerina Graham, Beverly Hills Real Housewife Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and Sabi, an up-and-coming singer-rapper who lent her vocal chops to "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" from Britney's new album.
Kim Kardashian was also there as was her ex, Reggie Bush, but awkward moment avoided because K.K. apparently left before the NFL star even arrived. The soiree included a menu prepared by Brit's chef dad, Jamie, and bottomless glasses of Southern sweet tea made from an old Spears family recipe.
