Looks like Lionsgate wants to make sure their Hunger Games tributes are ready to kick some serious ass.
Two new tributes have been cast for Panem's District 6—and both are real-life stunt doubles.
They may be known as the unnamed Tribute Boy and Tribute Girl in the film, but meet the new faces joining Hollywood's hottest franchise:
The new District 6 tribute girl may only be 4'11 and 95 pounds, but the blonde haired, brown eyed Kara Petersen packs some serious heat as a stunt double specializing in gymnastics, Russian swing, high falls and bungees as a member of DBX Stunts.
You may recognize Petersen for her stunt double work on such classics as 2007's Bring It On: In It To Win It.
Petersen, who has since put down the pom-poms, will costar alongside District 6's Tribute Boy, fellow real-life ass-kicker, Ashton Moio.
Moio, also a stunt double, has worked on a long list of films, including Red Riding Hood, The Longest Yard and The Ring Two.
Oh, and Moio is a black belt in tae kwon do, so if you don't agree with him being cast, you can take it up with him.
Petersen and Moio join the cast of other new-to-the-scene actors and stunt doubles, as we have previously told you.
With all of these new Hunger Games casting announcements, we hope to be hearing who the remaining meatier roles, such as Cinna and Haymitch, go to!
Would Lionsgate have enough faith in a stunt double for such hearty roles?
We won't be full until we know, for certain, whether or not our Haymitch has jazz hands!
