Will it be a good Friday for Lindsay Lohan, or a bad one? Time will tell. But either way, it'll definitely be a long one.
The starlet is currently in court for a two-pronged, daylong hearing to determine both whether she should immediately be found in violation of her probation (and thus face jail time) and whether there is enough evidence for her to be tried in her neverending necklace heist case (and thus, uh, face jail time).
Here's the deal…
Lohan arrived early to this morning's hearing dressed not in one of her now trademark courthouse minis, but in a far more conservative jeans, scarf and long blouse ensemble, with her hair pulled back in a tight bun.
She was accompanied, as always, by attorney Shawn Holley and while her (estranged) father did not arrive with her to court, Michael Lohan did turn up to the courthouse and is also attending the hearing.
Judge Stephanie Sautner will preside over today's proceedings and already ruled that no cameras would be allowed inside the courtroom, though members of the media are allowed to sit in on the no doubt lengthy hearing.
Should Lindsay be found in violation of her probation for her arrest in the allegedly stealing the $2,500 necklace from Kamofie & Co., she could be sent to jail as early as today, though the latest word is that the charge could be downgraded from a felony to a misdemeanor based on the value of the jewelry.
In any case, it will also be concurrently decided whether or not there is enough evidence for Lohan to continue on and go to trial for the charge.
So watch this space.
