Source: Charlie Sheen "Never" Sees His Kids

While Charlie Sheen may support his twin 2-year-olds, Bob and Max, financially with $55,000 a month in child support to his ex Brooke Mueller, that doesn't mean he has been there physically for the twin boys.

After embarking on his Violent Torpedoes of Truth Tour on April 2, a source tells us Sheen has yet to see his kids.

So why is Charlie fighting for full custody when he "never" makes an effort to see the boys, and are the Sheen family really that close?

"He never calls to check up on the boys," a source close to Mueller reveals to us. "The last time he had the kids was on March 26, and we don't believe he was even home when the kids went to his house that day. The kids were probably just with their nanny. It's really sad."

And it isn't just Charlie who has been MIA, accoring to the source. Our insider says the extended Sheen clan have also kept their distance.

"They see the kids maybe every nine months," dishes the insider. "It's not the kind of warm family lifestyle Brooke wants for her children."

The Mueller fam, on the other hand, spent Monday night before the emergency court hearing partaking in a Passover seder. (Guess Sheen isn't that anti-Semitic if he married a Jew?)

"It was a very nice evening with close family," says the source. "Brooke and the boys were all in good spirits."

And while Brooke had her mom and stepfather by her side at court Monday, none of Charlie's family members were present.

Even Charlie's pops, Martin Sheen, has yet to walk into a theater to listen to his son's Torpedoes of Truth, but he had time to attend the premiere for the play God of Carnage last week.

So why would Charlie, who even missed his kids' birthday parties last month, fly across the country to fight for full custody?

"Media!" reveals our impeccable source. "He wanted to take the boys on tour with him."

Judge Hank Goldberg agreed that with Brooke's side that Charlie's Torpedoes are not kid-friendly and kept the current custody arrangement in place.

"The judge didn't think it was right to change the custody agreement while Charlie is away on tour," another Sheen source tells us. "It didn't make sense."

A rep for Sheen has not yet returned our request for comment.

With Sheen throwing out his last Torpedo of Truth May 3 in Seattle, Brooke and the kids may want to run and duck for cover before he comes back to L.A. with no day job to occupy his time.
