Last night on The Good Wife we finally learned whether Peter (Chris Noth) would return to the State's Attorney's Office.

Thanks to good wife Alicia's 11th-hour stumping, her hubby Peter is now the most important lawyer in Illinois. The ramifications are far-reaching: Alicia might benefit from a sort of redemption and residual power, but Peter's election could also mean Alicia's soul-crushing return to suburbia, unemployment for Cary (Matt Czuchry) and further scandal if Peter's sex deal with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) becomes public.
