This Disney princess isn't waiting around for Prince Charming.

That's the sense we're getting from new concept art for Pixar's upcoming June 2012 release Brave, set in the magical and mysterious realm in the Scottish Highlands. In the unbeatable company's 13th film, young Merida, the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, is an ace archer and so determined to do her own thing that she gets herself and the kingdom in a heap of trouble.

Besides reminding us that 2012 will be the year of the young woman with a bow and arrow (see: The Hunger Games), Brave looks to be hoot with the voice talents of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd and Craig Ferguson, as well as Kelly McDonald as Merida.

And who knows, maybe she will find herself a prince. The guy just might need saving.
