Are red bandannas and boxing trunks about to make a comeback?

You bet, if Sylvester Stallone has anything to do with it.

The action-movie legend is creating a men's lifestyle brand called Stallone, and his first collection will be based on two of his most famous characters, Rocky Balboa and John Rambo...

Michael Henry, president of Sly's new company, tells Women's Wear Daily, "Rocky at the end of the day is a love story, while Rambo showcases the other side of masculinity, he's a loner." So the clothes will be suited for the guy who's a "rebel and [a] gentleman."

Um, we don't know exactly what that means, so we're just going to withhold judgment until the burgeoning designer—who has said he became interested in fashion more than 10 years ago when he started having his clothes custom made—shows us the goods.

First items to roll out are jeans, shirts, outerwear and underwear, followed by eyewear, athletic apparel (natch!), fragrances and more.

The duds will debut in 2012. Trademark snarl not included.
