Feisty Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta is making a play for full-on trainwreck status: the actress was arrested Tuesday in New York for a boozy catfight at the Standard Hotel in the trendy Meatpacking District, the NYPD confirms to E! News.
De la Huerta is accused of throwing a glass at former The City castmember Samantha Swetra at a party at the hotel on Sunday and then socking Swetra in the face—and it all went down over a dude.
Here's what the cops told us today.
The two woman apparently got into it after de la Huerta began hitting on Swetra's male friend. That ticked off the reality star who alleged asked de la Huerta to stand down, prompting her to hurl a glass at Swetra. A piece of the shattered glass lodged in Swetra's leg.
And what's drama without Lindsay Lohan circling somewhere nearby?
Lohan, there with Swetra, helped tend to her wound. De la Huerta was then escorted out by hotel security while her adversary filled out a police report.
"[De la Huerta] was charged with assualt third degree," says a spokeswoman for the NYPD. "She was arrested yesterday. The altercation happened Sunday."
Of course, this isn't the first time de la Huerta's caused a scene.
We spotted the actress, who plays Steve Buscemi's girlfriend on the Golden Globe-winning HBO series, during February Fashion Week in New York partying at the very location she had her catfight—upstairs in the hotel's Boom Boom Room.
She also partied the night away one night that week at a W Hotel party, standing out from the 600-person crowd by dancing up a storm in front of the night's entertainment Yelle. She sang along with the band in French and downed Heineken beers straight from bottle.
And, perhaps most infamously, a stumbly de la Huerta was denied entrance to an after-party back in January following Broadwalk Empire's Golden Globes glory at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. Paparazzi caught her in full-on nip-slip mode as she made her ungraceful exit.
