Yay, synergy!

Just a few hours after ABC audiences saw The Bachelor's proposal, a back-to-brunette Ashley Hebert was revealed as the next Bachelorette star on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Which was for the best, because Jimmy was the only one capable of administering the Bachelorette oath.

"Do you promise, on national television, to date 25 men simultaneously without complaining?" he inquired. "Do you promise to make sure the hot tubs are clean and have enough chlorine and their bacteria levels are low?"

"I'll do my best with that," Ashley promised.

The 26-year-old dental student from Maine was one of three women remaining on the just-concluded season of The Bachelor. Brad Womack opted to break things off before the final rose ceremony after Ashley—who had previously voiced how hard it was watching Brad romance other women at the same time—showed reservations that didn't sit well with the eager-to-wed second-timer.

"Were you then glad that Brad didn't pick you?" Jimmy asked her, referring to her upcoming once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"Yeah...I mean, I think it all turned out for the best!" she responded good-naturedly, though there was a quick tilt of the head that implied a wee bit of "hmph"-ness.

But now it's her turn. The Bachelorette premieres May 23 on ABC.
