He was meant for her—but their wedding wasn't meant for anyone else.

Folk-country songbird Jewel finally scored herself a last name this week, eloping to the Bahamas and quietly tying the knot Thursday night with longtime rodeo-champ beau Ty Murray.

"I dreamt about this day since I was a little girl on a ranch in Alaska," Jewel said in a statement. "It was relaxed and romantic. I wore a traditional wedding gown and diamonds and he wore jeans and a button down shirt!"

Well, you can take the cowboy out of Texas...

"Ty's definitely my perfect prince," the new bride added.

"We both have been so blessed in our lives," Murray said. "We're lucky to have each other and look forward to starting a family together."

Jewel herself blogged about her pending trip, though not her pending vow swap at the Atlantis Cove Resort, just Wednesday—her last full day as a singleton.

"Well I'm off to the Bahamas!" she wrote in a post on her official site. "Ty and I have a 6 day vacation and we are going with our good friends…Now that Nashville Star is wrapped up, and the Brad [Paisley] tour is on a mini-break, I have a few days to get away, and I'm ready!

"Gosh—I'm excited..."

Wonder why.

The twosome, who never announced an engagement, have been together for 10 years. The 34-year-old singer and the 38-year-old professional cowboy currently cohabitate on a 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas.

They recently collaborated on a professional level as well, with Murray starring in the music video for Jewel's new single, the aptly titled "I Do."
