From one diva to another: Buck up, that's showbiz!

By now you know Fantasia skipped this year's Grammys because she wasn't asked to perform in the show's opening tribute to her idol, Aretha Frankin. Well, Franklin herself is finally speaking out, saying she was "sorry" the American Idol champ didn't make the show but also offered up some wise advice.

And what did the Queen of Soul say?

"I was sorry to hear that Fantasia was upset because she did not get the opportunity to participate in my Grammy Tribute this year," Franklin said in a statement to USA Today. "I recall that in the past, Fantasia participated in both my MusicCares Person of the Year Tribute and my United Negro College Fund Tribute."

But Franklin called Fantasia "young in the business" and acknowledged that she is "loved and appreciated," but still added some harsh advice.

"She must understand that in this business of show business she will not always get to participate in everything she would like to participate in," Franklin said. "I'm sure it was not an intentional omission."

Franklin, who recently underwent a successful surgery for a mystery ailment, said she will be seeing Fantasia over the summer in Detroit. We're sure the divas will hug it out.
