Kanye West has been causing a fashion frenzy all over town.

Take last night, for instance. The rapper, who's been popping up all over at parties and shows during New York Fashion Week, hit the new Mondrian in SoHo, where a V magazine party was held in honor of his cover issue. The late night bash drew such a crowd outside that things quickly began getting hectic, with crowding and a little shoving going on in the freezing temps.

So what happened...?

Those who did make it in were smushed into the packed lounge with Sean Lennon, Leigh Lezark and Lady Bunny playing DJ. Some party tricks were added to the mix, like the "Make it Rain" machine that spit cash and golden cocktail tickets in the air for partygoers, who scrambled to pick up the dough.

Earlier in the evening, Kanye was spotted at Alexander Wang's SoHo boutique for a Belvedere Vodka party with model Karolína Kurková and Zoë Kravitz, who all caught a performance by Lauryn Hill.

At yesterday's Kate Spade presentation, Rachel Zoe's former assistant Brad Goreski talked about his former boss and chatted with current boss, Spade Creative Director Deborah Lloyd.

"It's been an amazing experience and an absolute pleasure," he said of his Fashion Week styling job for the company. "To be able to sit here with Deborah, this is perfect match for me; it's something I'm excited about."

Goreski said he was "scared" to leave Zoe's shadow, but says he needed to do his own thing and so far has been "really lucky."

"Doing what I love is pretty incredible," he told us, adding that he and Zoe are still pals. "I last spoke with her around the holidays, and she is busy with award season, but the bump is showing and I'm happy for her and Rodger," he said.

Another face around town this Fashion Week has been Vanessa Hudgens, showing up at the Marc Jacobs and Diesel shows to sit front row. Maybe all the running around (or her newly single status) is making her kooky, because the actress has now taken to talking about herself in the third person.

"Vanessa is most comfortable when she feels her best. She loves fashion. She loves this world," said Vanessa.

At yesterday's early evening J. Mendel show under the tents, actress Paz de la Huerta caused a photog frenzy when they clustered around her to snap her in a deep blue low cut dress and an outrageous fuzzy vest with a giant hood she pulled up over her head.

Another familiar face this week has been Gossip Girl vixen Michelle Trachtenberg, who celebrated her Maxim cover last night at SL lounge with BFF and show co-star Leighton Meester. Tractenberg showed up in the cold temps in a beautiful jewel toned blue dress.

"Her and Leighton were huddled in the corner with a bunch of girlfriends, it became like a girls' night," said one partygoer. "Michelle kept showing everyone the huge oversize cutout cover of her mag. She was having a great time."
