Jewel and Ty Murray Expecting a Little Cowboy (or Girl!)

Singer confirms she's expecting her first child; no due date was announced, but star is currently in her second trimester

Pretty soon (like, say, nine months or so), Jewel will have a piece of her and her hubby, Ty Murray.

The singer-songwriter has confirmed that she and her cowboy better half are expecting their first child together.

And for someone who infamously lived in a van and now calls a Texas ranch home, she found out the good news in a very Hollywood way...

On her reality show!

It was while she began the first day of shooting her new Bravo series, Going Platinum, when she discovered the much-anticipated good news (she and Murray have been trying for the two years since they tied the knot).

"I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!" the 36-year-old said. "It was so hard to keep it a secret. I was worried I'd start throwing up on set and everyone would be like, 'Oh, she's pregnant.'"

But manage to keep it secret she did, waiting to spill the beans until she'd successfully entered into her second trimester—though she still isn't giving a due date or letting slip whether it's a boy or a girl.

And now that she actually is pregnant, the star isn't going to take her condition for granted.

"I'm trying to be in the moment and really enjoy my pregnancy," she said. "I feel really lucky."

Her littlest fans no doubt feel that way, too: Fully embracing the moment, Jewel is currently working on her second album of children's songs.
