And they said it wouldn't last...

Well, they were right.

Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis and entertainment reporter Christina McLarty have gone their separate ways after several years of dating and less than two months after swapping vows in Mexico, E! News confirmed Thursday.

"After careful and thoughtful consideration on both our parts, Christina and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," Francis said. "We entered into our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness that we leave it.  We wish each other the best for the future."

Emphasis on relationship, because although the duo swapped vows in front of about 200 guests, they opted for a civil domestic partnership, purportedly in solidarity with their gay and lesbian friends who are unable to legally marry.

So, no need for a divorce or, so it would seem, any apportioning of the GGW empire.
