Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is staying dark a little longer.

The trouble-plagued show will not go on tonight, two days after a Spidey stunt double was injured in a fall.

Christopher Tierney, who fell 30 feet into an open pit late in the second act, had back surgery today.

On the bright side, a spokesman for the production says that the additional delay is to allow the crew to implement new safety procedures to comply with New York Labor Department concerns.

That must be a relief for the handful of actor-aerialists risking life and limb to bring the web-slinger to life.
