Shania Twain is singing it to the world.

The country crooner took to her official website this morning to gush about her recent engagement to Frédéric Thiébaud, thanking "everyone who helped me believe that new beginnings are possible and that love can be trusted.

"I believe in the right to be loved and the blessing of being able to love in return. Talking about love, I am excited to share some personal news with you..."

See what Shania revealed...

"I'm in love!" Shania exclaimed on her site.

"Frédéric Nicolas Thiébaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship. Fred and I are happy to announce, our ENGAGEMENT!"

Thiébaud, 40, a Swiss Nestlé business exec, popped the question nearly two months ago, while the duo were in Switzerland. The engagement became public when Twain, 45, stepped out wearing the engagement ring last week at Serafina's in New York.

It was a rocky road to bliss for the duo, who leaned on each other in the wake of their exes' apparent hookup. In 2008, after 14 years of marriage, Robert "Mutt" Lange abruptly abandoned Twain when he alledgely fell for Marie-Ann Thiébaud, who was Frédéric's wife, but also Twain's best friend and closest confidante. Twain and Lange have a 9-year-old son together, Eja D'Angelo.

Shania also wrote of her excitement over moving forward in the new year.

"Love, peace and happiness is taking me in to 2011 and I'm feeling refreshed and optimistic about the future. I'm looking forward to what the new year has in store and to sharing it with you," she says.

The Grammy winner promises some wedding details soon.

We're happy to see her smiling again.

"Until then, have a fantastic holiday season and I wish you love," she wrote.
