MTVAmber Portwood already has plenty to deal with raising one child at the tender age of 20. She's not ready for another—no matter what you might read on the supermarket magazine rack.
"The rumors are absolutely false—I'm not pregnant," Portwood says in a statement via MTV. "I'm working hard to be the best mom to my daughter. I have no plans to have more kids anytime soon."
Amber's brother, Shawn, also weighed in on the alleged stork talk, exclusively telling E! News that someone likely "made up the rumor to get into the magazines."
Uh, we'd say mission accomplished with that one. The latest issue of Star magazine features the Amber-is-preggers story. Oops.
Ironically, in season two of the popular MTV reality series, Amber and baby daddy Gary Shirley found out that, despite signs to the contrary, she was not expecting again. They even flirted with the idea of tying the knot but broke up permanently after Portwood allegedly punched her beau in the face in front of their 2-year-old daughter, Leah.
The assault, caught on tape by an MTV crew, spurred local police in Anderson, Ind., to launch an investigation, leading to charges of two felony counts and one misdemeanor of domestic violence and battery against Portwood.
The case is now in the hands of the D.A. who has yet to decide whether to prosecute. If convicted, Portwood could face up to three years in the slammer and a $10,000 fine.
