Rich blonde or bankrupt blonde? Which is it?

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino seemingly lives a glamorous life in Newport Coast with her entrepreneur husband, Jim Bellino, and their three kids.

But then rumor had it they went the way of a certain Jersey Housewife and filed for Chapter 11.

So, can they show us the money or not? Well, we checked out the couple's blog, where they posted their side of the story...

And it's so false!

"Bellinos Bankrupt—NOT!" Jim posted today as the headline to his post regarding the reports, despite documents existing that state otherwise.

He insists the duo have not filed for bankruptcy and that their money woes stem from their bank going back on a deal they made earlier this year when they modified their loan on their Orange County home.

"As we shared with you in August of this year, we had reached an agreement with JP Morgan Chase for a loan modification of our home. After we had agreed, the bank changed the terms, demanding twice as much up front cash, and increasing the interest rate (has this happened to any of you?). All we expect from the bank is that they live up to the original deal they made with us."

Overexplaining much? Yaaaaawn.

He goes on:

"Like most families we are just trying to live the American dream, but that isn't sensational enough. As we all know the media loves bad news and will create it when they can't find it. To set the record straight we have not filed for bankruptcy. Thankfully our financial future is secure. The bank's actions forced the entity that holds title to the home to file Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy protection for the purpose of protecting this asset while we continue to work towards resolution. This is commonly done."

Whatever you say, Jim. And we're guessing he's saying they're not broke.

The Bellinos are now demanding that the Orange County Register, which first reported the story, print a retraction.  According to the paper, the couple have put their home on the market for $3.39 million and have it listed as a short sale.

Alexis was the latest addition to the Housewives last season and is expected to return in January for season six.
