Can't be tamed, huh?
A video has emerged (possibly leaked, allegedly stolen) of kid-friendly Disney teen Miley Cyrus taking a bong hit and subsequently having what she described as "a little bit of a bad trip."
But the most shocking part of the video…
…Is that Miley hasn't done anything illegal. Reputation-damaging, sure. But (allegedly) nothing illegal.
That's because the substance Cyrus and her friends are inhaling (and how) is reportedly salvia, a psychoactive plant that causes trippy behavior, but which is—and this is the most important part—totally legal to have, smoke, or do whatever you want with in the state of California. Which is where Cyrus was believed to be at the time of the bong bash.
Miley's camp has no comment on the incident, and a source close to the star told E! News of the video, "I think it speaks for itself."
And no, this was not a sting operation: the camerawoman is clearly a friend of Miley's and the star is more than aware that she's being filmed (or at least, as aware as she is of anything else).
"I'm having a little bit of a bad trip," she tells her friend after taking a long hit from the bong, and finding herself subsequently distracted by a fellow partygoer that reminded her a little too much of her ex- (or maybe current?) boyfriend.
"Whoa, is that a f--king Liam [Hemsworth] look-alike, or what the hell is that? Is that my boyfriend? Is that my boyfriend? Oh my God, he looks so much like Liam. Is that me tripping, is that me tripping? He doesn't look like Liam? He looks so much like Liam. Dude, that looks just like Liam," she said, collapsing in a fit of giggles before going on to incomprehensibly sputter out some song lyrics.
"Are you being as weird as I think you are right now?" she asked her friend, to which her pal responded, remarkably presciently, "You're gonna s--t a brick when you see this."
We imagine that's the least of what Miley's doing right now. Not that she seemed phased at the time.
"I want more of that s--t, I swear," she said. Something tells us this may be the last video we see from Miley for a little while. Or at least, for her sake, we hope it is.
