We doubt 2010 can get any better for Jessica Simpson.
First, the star met, fell in love and got engaged to beau Eric Johnson, and now we find out Jess' fashion lines have already raked in more than $750 million this year—and will hit the $1 billion mark by early 2011!
How the hell did that happen?
According to Women's Wear Daily, it all started five years ago with a Jessica Simpson Collection shoe line and since then has expanded to sportswear, denim, swimsuits, watches, fragrances and plenty more.
While practically every star (and their daughter) has a fashion line out now, the singer turned actress turned designer has outlasted many of them because of her "girl next door qualities, says Vince Camuto, CEO of Camuto Group, which licenses Jessica's products. "People look at her as a style icon."
Uh, style icon is a pretty big stretch, considering the babe's red carpet misses far outweigh the hits, but Jess is totes accessible and likable.
At a recent in-store appearance, 600 fans lined up to meet her. Her jeans are sold in more than 650 department stores. And her net worth is "estimated at $100 million."
