Just a week after reportedly spending Thanksgiving in a sober living facility, Brooke Mueller checked back into a sober living house around 5 a.m. Saturday, E! News has confirmed.

"She has battled with addiction for many years," sources close to Mueller tell E! News. "She didn't use, she just felt weak and didn't want to relapse. She said that the holidays are hard for her."

According to sources, Charlie Sheen's soon-to-be ex-wife was struggling with her addiction and wanted to get counseling to work out her issues. She was also concerned with being able to see her children, who are staying with Mueller's grandparents in the interim, during her stay there.

"Brooke checked in herself so she can leave and visit her children whenever she pleases," a Mueller confidante said.

Ironically, before deciding to go back into treatment, Mueller dismissed her sober coach last week after deciding she was able to continue her road to sobriety without him. "But then felt she needed to go speak to someone professionally," the insider tells E! News. "This isn't something new, this is ongoing since her teens. She is very serious about this and wants to be the best mother to her children that she can be."

As for Mueller's state of mind at the moment, "Everything is actually good," the source said. "She's in a sober living center while the show is in Vegas next week and then on hiatus. She thought this was the perfect opportunity to go there and work on her sobriety. She has been struggling with it."

Speaking of the reality show Mueller is filming with Paris Hilton, the duo went out on a double date (prior to Mueller's check-in) Friday night to Nobu with the heiress's beau, Cy Waits, and IndyCar driver Marco Andretti. However, according to a source, Mueller "wasn't drinking at all," and the foursome left the restaurant around 9 p.m.

"Double dates are fun!" Hilton tweeted Saturday afternoon.
