As you may have heard, former Dancing With the Stars hoofer Julianne Hough makes her big-screen debut in Burlesque.

What was her very first day on set like? Full of tears…

"My first scene ever in a movie was with...Cher!" Hough says. "It was literally the first scene I did where I'm in the bathroom throwing up and telling her I'm knocked up.

"I'm sitting there trying to produce tears, and even after 17 takes, Cher gave me compliments," she continues. "Everything she says, you're on her every word."

So much so, Hough says, "I ran and wrote everything she told me in my journal."

Also, remember when Burlesque costar Kristen Bell told me that the movie's dancing left her in a lot of pain ("My neck is sore and my inner thighs are so sore," she said)?

Well, Hough also suffered some bruising—especially during the "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" routine: "I had to slide down these beads and I got rugburns—well, they looked like rugburns—all over my body."
