Has former E! reality star Brittny Gastineau snagged herself an Olympic swimmer?

Sources tell E! News that yes, she is indeed dating record-breaking gold medalist Michael Phelps.

The couple met through friends and just spent a romantic weekend together shacking up at the Mondrian hotel, sources say.

As for Brittny herself, when I caught up with her, she dished:

"Unfortunately, I can't comment on that," she told me while attending the Hollywood Bag Ladies luncheon for Lupus today at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.

She also wouldn't answer when I asked if she was currently single. But she did admit she'd be down to date an athlete.

Makes sense, considering she's the one who set up Kim Kardashian with Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin. (Plus, remember she's the daughter of former New York Jet Mark Gastineau.)

As for whether she finds Michael attractive, Britt confessed, "I do think he's cute!"

So we'll take all of that as a yes.
