The "Deathly Hallows" is more than just a catchy movie title. As Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) set out to take on Lord Voldemort, they must first understand what it is they're up against.

As you'll see in this exclusive sneak peek, it all begins with a mysterious symbol that keeps popping up, a straight line inside a circle, inside a triangle...

As Watson tells us, "That symbol is the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, a legend based around a children's story." But this is more than just a story to tell kids when tucking them in at night. "[The symbol] keeps popping up everywhere, and [Hermione] thinks they need to understand."

The symbol represents the combination of the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility, and one of those items is of great value to He Who Shall Not Be Named.

"Voldemort has the realization that his wand and Harry's wand are twins," Radcliffe explains. "Voldemort's wand cannot be used against Harry's, and Harry's cannot be used against Voldemort's." That's a bit of a snag if you've decided, as Voldemort has, that you must be the one to kill Harry Potter. That leaves gaining control of the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in existence, as Voldemort's last resort against Harry Potter.
