Forget Louboutins or Manolos—Maria Sharapova will be creating her own bridal shoes, thankyouverymuch!

The tennis star, who became engaged to L.A. Laker beau Sasha Vujacic last month, told People last night at the ACE Awards in NYC she is "for sure, going to design" her wedding footwear and it will be with Cole Haan.

It's a natural fit, since Maria's been collaborating with the brand on a line of shoes and bags for a while now. The third Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan collection debuted this fall, and the bride-to-be even modeled a pair of slingbacks and a clutch from that line.

But back to the wedding...

The 23-year-old says comfort is key to the shoes and that she's open to wearing a traditional white gown.

"I think it depends on the design of the dress and how you feel about it, " Maria says. "Sometimes you want to go a little bit shorter, but I love when the dress is also long and fluid and you feel really elegant and flowy."

Hmmm, sounds like the 6'2" babe is leaning toward a simple goddess gown, which suits her statuesque frame.

Can't wait to see what Maria serves up for her nuptials!
