Paparazzo-pounding Sean Penn must be proud. His on-off Sports Illustrated model girlfriend, Jessica White, repeatedly hit a woman on a Manhattan street in a vicious catfight over a cab, according to court papers obtained by E! News.

Hey, have you ever tried getting a cab in New York at 4:50 a.m.?

That's when the alleged catfight occurred, per the NYPD.

Police say that White, 26, and victim Vanessa Kian, 28, were on the corner of 10th Avenue and 17th Street in Manhattan when they tried to hail the same cab after leaving a Chelsea club.

According to the complaint, White "pulled [Kian's] hair and struck her numerous times in the face with her hand, causing lacerations, swelling, and substantial pain."

White has hopped from modeling agency to modeling agency, and is now being represented by IMG Modeling. She was formerly with One Model Management, Wilhelmina Models and Elite Model Management.

The bikini babe's buddy Penn last year was in trouble himself for shouting obscenities at a photog in L.A.  He is currently serving three years' probation and 300 hours of community service for the dustup.

After delivering her smackdown, White was thrown in the back of a police car and taken to central booking. Oddly, the big-money model was represented by a legal aid attorney at her arraignment instead of a hotshot lawyer.

We hope she fixed her makeup postbrawl, because she had her mug shot taken, then was charged with misdemeanor assault. She walked out after the arraignment on no bail and is due in court Dec. 15.
