Natalie Mejia has taken a step in the right direction: She admits it was her purse that had cocaine in it.

The Girlicious singer has pulled a 180 and pleaded guilty to felony drug possession for her March arrest in Los Angeles, when cops searched her Gucci bag during a traffic stop and found 13 nondesigner baggies of cocaine.

The felony rap carries automatic probation, and Mejia will avoid jail time if she keeps her nose clean, so to speak. After 18 months of good behavior, the charge will be cleared from her record.

In the meantime, Mejia and pals better find something more constructive to do when "2 in the Morning" comes calling.
