Calling Fake on Harry Hamlin's and Lisa Rinna's TV Break-In?

Comeback-minded couple learn of clothing-store robbery on Today Show. Good timing, no?

So, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna just so happen to be promoting their new reality show, books and lips on live TV, when they just so happen to get a call that their clothing store back in Los Angeles just so happens to have been burgled.

Right.

Are we to believe Hamlin and Rinna just so happened to have lucked into a viral-clip moment while on the comeback trail?

Yes, actually.

As many as 100 pieces of clothing were stolen from Hamlin's and Rinna's shop, Belle Gray, located in Sherman Oaks, Calif., store manager Rona Argana told E! News.

"They only stole from the front of the store. We have Decades Two, and Chanel and Manolos (Blahnik) in here, but they didn't take any of that," Argana said. "As soon as I got the alarm notification, I thought, ‘Shoot, it's because of the Chanel,' but literally they came in took whatever they could grab from the front and left."

Tweeted Rinna: "I guess they kicked the front door in big time. We need a gate now looks like."

Argana was alerted to the break-in at about 6:30 a.m. local time, she told E! News.

So, going by the store-manager's timeline, Rinna's Today Show exclamation, heard in the 7 a.m. hour, "Our clothing store is being robbed as we speak!," was not technically accurate. Of course, if Rinna was just learning of the break-in, then it was fresh-hot news to her.

But what about Rinna's and Hamlin's overall on-air demeanor? Shouldn't they have been more upset? More worried? Something other than merely throwing up their hands, and going, "This is our life!…And you can see it all on Harry Loves Lisa, premiering tomorrow night on TVLand!"

OK, yes, we made up that second sentence. But as for the larger point…

Well, for one thing, judging people by their reactions (or non-reactions) is never a good idea. (Remember: The dingo did steal Meryl Streep's baby.) And for another thing, as Rinna herself tweeted, "its just material things we will be fine!"

For now, we're forced to conclude Rinna and Hamlin just so happen to be two people who have their priorities straight.
