Just because they're rich doesn't mean The Real Housewives of New York City like being ripped off.

While the cast was putting in face time at some swanky event, somebody broke into a production van belonging to the hit Bravo reality series and made off with approximately $30,000 worth of equipment, a network rep confirmed to E! News.

Quick, where were the New Jersey Housewives?

OK, so there are no official suspects yet, but police are investigating the incident. Here's what we know went down.

Staffers parked the van alongside the ballroom entrance of Manhattan's Pierre Hotel while Real Housewives stars Alex McCord, hubby Simon Van Kempen, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer mingled at the Emperor's Brand launch of Giorgio G Cognac.

According to a Bravo publicist, the thieves swiped some lenses, tripods and a couple of crew bags containing personal belongings.

Filming on the fourth season of RHONY kicked off late last month. In August, Bethenny Frankel revealed she would not be returning to the show, save a few contractually obligated appearances, but will continue on her Bravo spinoff, Bethenny Getting Married? She's been replaced by socialite Cindy Barshop.
