Welcome back, Sheldon, Leonard, Wolowitz, Raj and Penny! The Big Bang gang is back tonight with a hilarious season premiere that guest stars one of our all-time TV faves, Mayim Bialik, as Sheldon's lady-friend Amy. Season four kicks off tonight with a threesome, as Penny (Kaley Cuoco) chaperones Sheldon and Amy on their first date. At first it seems that Penny is the worldly woman at the table, but before you know it, Amy will be revealed as much more than the wallflower we all thought she was. (Meanwhile, Wolowitz has a scary encounter with an evil robot.)
Side note: If TBBT producers are ever looking for another series regular, Bialik would be an amazing choice. She's not just the perfect woman for Sheldon, but she's a tremendous foil for Penny. Make it so, powers that be! (Please?)
As for the rest of this season of Big Bang, CBS confirms that Eliza Duskhu will guest star as an FBI agent doing a security-clearance investigation on Wolowitz. Cocreator and show runner Bill Prady tweeted about Dushku this morning, saying, "By now everyone should know which #Buffy star visited the#bigbangtheory offices last week." Now if only we could get Sarah Michelle Gellar to stop by!
Katee Sackhoff and Wil Wheaton are also expected to reappear on Big Bang this season, along with special appearances by Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak and Star Trek/Heroes alum George Takei.
