Just off the heels of New York Fashion Week, the fashion world took on a more somber tone today in London at a memorial for late designer Alexander McQueen.

The service, held at St. Paul's Cathedral, brought out family, friends and fans such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss—decked out in McQueen garb, natch.

Among those who spoke at the tribute was Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, who remembered McQueen as a "complex and gifted young man." Björk was also on hand during the hourlong ceremony to sing Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday."

McQueen, who had a history of depression, committed suicide in February. He was found hanged in his London flat—autopsy reports indicated the 40-year-old had taken cocaine, antianxiety medication, sleeping pills and tranquilizers before taking his life.
