Who's Gonna EGOT Next—Kate Winslet or Martin Scorsese?

So now Martin Scorsese, Kate Winslet and Maggie Smith are one award away to EGOT, are we seeing them pursuing those awards anytime soon?

You speak of Tracy Jordan's coveted Emmy-Grammy-Oscar-Tony whammy, an honor enjoyed by not only 30 Rock's fictional Jordan (aka the real Tracy Morgan), but also the very real Whoopi Goldberg, Barbra Streisand and James Earl Jones. (Chuck Norris does not have an EGOT, just FYI.)
But I can tell you that at least two of these folk have no plans to round out their EGOs with a Tony:

Is Peter Dinklage the first person of short stature to win an Emmy?

According to the Little People of America, which posted a note of congratulations on Facebook, yes! "So often LP's are cast in stereotypical roles and are not cast for their talent or abilities," spokeswoman Leah Smith tells me. "Peter Dinklage is an exception to this rule and has consistently played character's that pushed the envelope of what society might think are the limits of a person of short stature."
But wow, did I get a lot more questions about last night's mixed bag of Emmys:

That's what she said? No. That's what we all said.
Turns out, the problem with being a sentimental favorite at the Emmy Awards is, if you don't win, there's quite a lot of unresolved sentiment floating around.
Like with Steve Carell, who despite being the category favorite, last night was denied his final shot at Emmy glory for his career- (and some would say TV landscape-) defining role of Michael Scott on The Office.
Well, take heart, viewer. You weren't the only one who cried out and looked at things to throw at your TV screen when Charlie Sheen called Jim Parsons—not Carell—to the podium. Rainn Wilson did, too. And then saw fit to share his fury with the world.
