Art imitating life or life imitating art? This fall, Gossip Girl is set to air two episodes featuring Fashion Week. But in real life, Fashion Week starred the Gossip Girl.

Blake Lively has officially become a designer darling, whispering at dinner with Karl Lagerfeld, rubbing shoulders with Anna Wintour and the wearing the most anticipated red carpet looks of the week so far.

Fashion editrix Wintour clearly loves the leggy 23-year-old, splashing her on the cover of Vogue three times, but this week the duo were side-by-side.

In July, Anna had taken the actress as her plus-one to Paris Fashion Week, where they sat in the front row together for both the Chanel and Dior shows.

At the time, Blake told Marie Claire UK: "I was speaking with Anna Wintour and we were just talking about different fashion houses and I said, 'I love Chanel,' and she said, 'You should come with me to the show.' I also said I loved Dior. She said 'OK, well I'll take you to the Chanel and Dior shows and we'll meet with Karl and John [Galliano] afterwards."

Clearly, she made quite an impression because she was Anna's special guest for Fashion's Night Out: The Show, sitting front row at the Lincoln Center extravaganza Tuesday night, dressed in a yellow and navy strapless Marchesa dress,

The blonde beauty also won over notoriously picky Lagerfeld, donning a lavender and silver sparkly Chanel number for the opening of the Chanel boutique in SoHo on Thursday. She followed that up with an invite to a private dinner on Mercer Street, where she brought along longtime boyfriend Penn Badgley and had the designer's full attention on her.

No word on what other shows Blake is attending yet—she jetted off to Toronto yesterday for the film festival to promote The Town, joining costar Ben Affleck at a dinner at Sotto Sotto.

Among the other celebrities celebrating Fashion's Night Out in New York, Blake's costar Leighton Meester hit a private dinner for John Varvatos at Abe & Arthur's, where she chatted with Sarah Silverman and Adrienne Bailon.

Singer Robin Thicke danced with wife Paula Patton, Jeremy Piven and rapper Q-Tip till the wee hours of this morning at 1Oak, where both Samantha Ronson and Mark Ronson shared DJ duties.
