Mary Schmidt Amons is one pissed-off mother.

Last night's Real Housewives of Washington, D.C. showed full-cup-of-crazy couple Michaele and Tareq Salahi alleging that the FBI was investigating Amons' 21-year-old daughter, Lolly, for her possible connection to their car being stolen…

Problem is, Mr. Salahi has offered no proof of said investigation. He spewed the startling claim over dinner at his family winery. (Note to Tareq: Wine-stained teeth are not pretty, especially when you're mumbling and also wearing an ugly sweater.)

"Everyone that knows us knows that this is absolutely erroneous," Mary told me this morning. "It's a Salahi-ism—a lie! It's a lie. It didn't make much sense at all."

It's been months since that night, but Mary said she and her husband remain in the dark about the accusations. They checked with the FBI and local police, and still nothing. "It's really hard to wrap my head around all of it," Mary said. "They are who they are and they just behave the way they behave."

Even if Lolly was involved with the supposed theft, Mary still believes the Salahis were out of line. "Unfortunately, I was put in a very vulnerable position and I had no idea that was going to transpire," she said. "You don't do that. That's just so inappropriate, uncalled for and unacceptable...They chose to go after one of my children. Mama bear is going to take the claws out and take care of her."

Can't wait for the D.C. reunion show!
