One of his underlings has found himself in hot water, but the Cake Boss himself still has plenty of orders to fill for his upcoming season.

Despite fondant-and-frosting whiz Remigio "Remy" Gonzalez being jailed on child-sex charges, shooting will go ahead as scheduled this fall on the popular pastry-themed reality series.

"Production for Cake Boss is unchanged," TLC spokesman Dustin Smith tells E! News.

That's sweet news for fans.

In fact, Cake Boss mastermind Buddy Valastro, owner of Carlo's Bake Shop in Hoboken, N.J., is also gearing up to host a spinoff series that will give Bravo's upcoming Top Chef: Just Desserts a run for its flour in the culinary-competition genre.

"We're about to start shooting TLC's new baking competition series, which Buddy is hosting, and Cake Boss will return to its normal production cycle in October," says Smith.

Questions regarding the show's status began to swirl after the Aug. 17 arrest of Gonzalez, Buddy's brother-in-law, on charges Gonzalez sexually assaulted a 14-year-old.

According to police in Morristown, N.J., witnesses told investigators that the 32-year-old cake decorator had confessed to the sex crimes after they threatened to have the minor examined by a doctor.

Prosecutors have since sent the case to a grand jury, which will decide whether to indict Gonzalez on multiple counts of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.

The victim's identity has not disclosed due to his/her age. Gonzalez remains locked up Morris County jail, unable to pay the full $300,000 bail.

Meanwhile, it's batter up for Buddy and the rest of the Cake Boss crew.

Along with keeping Carlo's humming, TLC's spokesman said the award-winning cake designer will still go ahead as planned with his Bakin' With the Boss Tour, which kicks off this weekend with dates in Toronto and Montreal before continuing with an extended coast-to-coast run through the month of November.

During the live show, Valastro will regale audiences with tales from his kitchen, his colorful Italian family and give a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him into a baking phenom.

The jaunt is being organized to promote his new book, Cake Boss: The Stories and Recipes, which hits stores nationwide on Nov. 2.
