Modern Family was the big winner Sunday night at the Emmys, ‘course, so we don't think it's too soon to start getting pumped for season two. Yay!

When chatting with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, we asked the M.F. star what fans can expect this season. We just had one request: Bring back Elizabeth Banks' booze-loving, baby-hating character Sal. And maybe Betty White?

"I would love to have Liz back. She's a very dear friend of mine," Ferguson ‘fessed. "She's also a huge movie star, so finding time to get her is very hard. But of course, we'd love to have her."

Any avid Modern Family fan knows that was arguably one of the best episodes. So if no Liz (yet), who else can we expect?

"We had Nathan Lane on recently, and we're going to meet Cameron's [Eric Stonestreet] mother. We don't know who that's going to be yet, but that would be really fun."

Jesse told us that instead of trying to nab someone along the lines of, say Betty White (just a suggestion we threw out there ABC), he thinks it would be better to get a fresh vintage face.

"I don't know who I could see playing her," JTF said rather adorably. "I love that we kind of discovered Eric Stonestreet. I think it would be fun to get an unknown actress, not someone who is a celebrity."

True, but come on, Betty White as Cam's mom? We're over having White as the grandma. She should be rewarded for her domination over the last year and be bumped up an age bracket in Hollywood

Maybe a little Fizbo the Clown ma and son action? Just sayin', Modern finished season one on a high, and Betty could totally keep your mojo going!
