It's no surprise that the fanged "cold ones" have taken over Hollywood, and in some cases, people's lives. But don't count on their reign ending anytime soon.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, calculations show that this vampire craze, which started back in 2008 with the release of Twilight, has generated an insane amount of money!

How much, you ask?

Seven billion dollars (!) in less than two years! It can't all be credited to Edward and Bella, though, sorry.

In addition to Stephenie Meyer's saga are books by a ton of other authors writing about sucking blood all night. TV shows like True Blood and Vampire Diaries also put the undead on the map and brought in some dough. Even the Twilight spoof Vampires Suck racked in a whopping $20 million in the box office.

So if you thought this fad was coming to its end, you thought wrong, my friend.

_______

What were they before they were vampires?
