Angie Directing Bosnian War Flick...Sound Familiar?

Back at the Salt premiere, Angelina Jolie told us "we'll see" when we asked if she had any interest in getting behind the camera eventually.

Well, there's no time like the present. As we first reported, Angie is set to make her directorial debut about a love story set during the Bosnian War.

We told you back in early July that Jolie expressed "serious interest" in directing a refugee-type flick, but was reluctant about having Brad Pitt star in it, as she'd originally planned.

GK Films (which worked with A.J. on The Tourist) officially announced yesterday that the film is a go:

"Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie is set to make her feature film directorial debut.  A love story set during the Bosnian War, the film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship.

Based on an original screenplay written by Jolie, the actors will be solely compromised of various ethnicities from the region of the former Yugoslavia. Jolie will produce the film alongside GK Films' Academy Award-winning producer Graham King and King's business partner Tim Headington."

No doubt there are gonna be some good love scenes in this flick. So it's all making sense why Angie wasn't hot on the idea of having Brad star. Remember, our original source said the thought of directing Brad with another woman "drove Angelina crazy."

Hey, we think Jolie should keep Pitt on, or if not, cast Jennifer Aniston as the female lead or something. The media already tries to insist there's still drama between the three of you, why not pull one over on us all?
