Why Does LiLo Get in Trouble—But Not Lady Gaga?

In a new interview, The Lady talks about her cocaine use, so why isn't she in a big pickle like LiLo? It should be clear

I totally love Lady Gaga, and I can't help but pull for Lindsay Lohan. So why do the same people who go at LiLo with a vengeance for her drug use admire and say only the most positive things for The Lady, who openly talked of her use?

Maybe because one celebrity seems to have her career and image under control, and the other appears to be throwing away all of her talents and repeated second chances? Sweetie, listen:

Just because someone uses coke doesn't mean they have anything to do with some other person who does coke. And most people—or, at least, people who follow Gaga and Lohan—can spot the differences from 100 feet.

For one, Lohan can't seem to get her life straight. I won't go through all of the bouts with the law, and the court dates, and the jail dramas, because you probably know them already.

But that life is a far cry from Lady Gaga. Yes, Gaga has talked freely about her cocaine use, telling Vanity Fair, "I won't lie; it's occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year."

She also has admitted to having a past problem with addiction.

But if Gaga is currently an out-of-control cokehead, she's doing a pretty good job of keeping her job while she's at it. She has no arrest record—at least, none that's all that public—no jail time to speak of, no history of angering collaborators with erratic behavior, no tendency to spit in the face of the law with obnoxious manicures—you get the idea.

And that's a big, big difference from what we've seen with Lohan.

Seems pretty clear to me.
