Poor DMX. Every time he tries to get out, they pull him back in.

Hours after his release from jail—after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence on a probation violation—the trouble-prone rapper otherwise known as Earl Simmons found himself back in police crosshairs...

According to Hollyscoop, DMX was driving along the Sunset Strip in Hollywood when he was pulled over by officers who found he had a vehicle code violation. Further investigation revealed the Ruff Rider also didn't have a valid driver's license.

Lucky for him, the cops opted not to take him down to the station for booking.

Instead, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, he was cited and sent along his merry way—though at some point he'll have to answer for the minor infractions.

A rep for DMX was unavailable for comment.
