What's next for DMX?

The struggling rapper was released from a Los Angeles County lockup Thursday at 4:30 p.m. after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence for probation violation, according to Sheriff's Department records.

That doesn't seem to be the way they do it in Phoenix!

DMX served 90 days—all 90—last year after cutting a deal on drug possession and animal cruelty charges in Maricopa County, Ariz.

He was ordered back behind bars for six months earlier this year after admitting to using cocaine while on probation. At the same time, the judge urged hmi to seek serious treatment for his substance-abuse problems.

The Cradle 2 the Grave star surrendered to L.A. authorities on July 26 to begin serving his sentence for violating probation stemming from a 2002 DUI.

And crowded, good-behavior-recognizing L.A. County is the place to be to get locked up for probation violation if you're counting on early release. Right, Lindsay?
