At least one Palin gal is looking on the bright side right away.
"I wish for Bristol to be able to move forward in life with her same forgiving, gracious, optimistic spirit, but from henceforth she'll know to trust but verify," Sarah Palin tells People in the wake of her eldest daughter's second—and, she must be hoping, final— breakup with baby daddy Levi Johnston.
"Bristol is strong, she is independent, and she knows what is right for her son," she says.
And, according to Bristol, trips to Hollywood to mock one's would-be in-laws is not the right thing.
"There's been no remorse," the 19-year-old single-again mom tells People of dumping Levi just weeks after announcing on the cover of Us Weekly that they were engaged all over again.
"The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family," she says. "He's just obsessed with the limelight and I got played."
E! News reported last week that Bristol had shown Levi the door, this time after he admitted he might have gotten another girl pregnant after their breakup (but it turns out he didn't, according to Levi, his lawyer and the girl). But a source told us that the actual camel-back-breaking straw was their fight about his Facebook contact with a different ex.
So, after all this bum luck right off the baby-making bat, has Bristol sworn off men for awhile?
"I have faith that I'll find it," she says of her wish to raise son Tripp in a two-parent household. "Through this whole experience I know I need a man who's going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family."
Maybe Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky can set her up with somebody.
