How Did Lindsay Lohan Leave Jail Totally Unnoticed?

No paparazzo caught LiLo as she was released last night, due to some two-pronged trickery

How did Lindsay Lohan get away with leaving jail without paparazzi catching her?

Just because Paris Hilton glided out of the same jail bathed in the glow of countless flash bulbs doesn't mean that Lindsay also wanted to turn the jail exterior into her own personal catwalk. LiLo is indeed an infamous tabloid mess, but she has a reputation for dodging photographers at the most inconvenient times. In this case, the apex of her own news cycle.

So how did she manage?

For one, there were decoy SUVs—two of them, if reports are to be believed. They reportedly left the jail about a half hour before Lohan actually checked out.

RadarOnline.com put it this way: "In an elaborate plot to diffuse media interest, two black Cadillac Escalades drove from Lynwood to the high-end residential facility Morningside Recovery in Orange County, where Lohan had been slated to check-in."

Adds X17: "The [decoy] driver went so far as to call police to call off paparazzi from following the decoy."

Lohan, of course, actually ended up at the UCLA Medical Center.

David Perel, founder and executive vice president of RadarOnline, says the decoys didn't work when it came to Lohan's destination; his reporters were waiting for LiLo outside UCLA, he says. But it apparently did work when it came to getting LiLo out of the jail unsnapped.

A clandestine exit out the BACK door—unlike Hilton, who preferred the front—did the rest.

"I was actually expecting a little more" of a ruse, he tells me. Still, he adds, "these things are always strange events to cover and it seems ridiculous that it has to be done in a secretive way. Get in a car with tinted windows, drive safely to where you are going and get out. It really shouldn't be such a big deal."

Agreed. Then again, it wouldn't be a Lindsay Lohan event without at least a little bit of drama.
