This just in: Killing off stars on the Internet still isn't funny, cool—or approved by Bill Cosby.

The comedy living legend is sounding seriously peeved after a Twitterverse-spread hoax offed him this afternoon.

And who could blame him after what he—and his loved ones—have been through?

"Emotional friends have called about this misinformation," Cosby tweeted. "To the people behind the foolishness, I'm not sure you see how upsetting this is."

This is the second time this year (at least) that The Cosby Show's namesake dad has been declared dead via the Internet. As he did back in February, Cosby initially made light of today's "news."

"Again, I'm rebuttaling rumors about my demise . But, I'm confirming I have an app," the 73-year-old wrote, Sarah Palin-style.

But the plug—the surest sign that an American is alive and kicking and selling—didn't kill the "Is Bill Cosby dead?" question, hence, the comic's no-joke followup a few hours later.

Anybody still laughing now? Hope not.
