It's official: Bon Temps is back, and sexier than ever! Not possible, right, fangbangers?

Take a little looksie at the tasty True Blood treat HBO just dished out above, and you'll see what we mean. Vamps? Check. Werewolves? Check. Hot as fiyah hookup between Sookie and...Eric?! Oh yeah, it's so happenin'.

Plus, we just caught up with Merlotte's (and Michael Emerson's) best gal Carrie Preston, and she tells us season three is "going to be the best one yet" because...

John P. Johnson / HBO

Two words, one insanely delish dog: Joe Manganiello.

"Of course the werewolves are there," Carrie (Arlene) says of the new addition, and True Blood's super-supernatural season. "Witches are going to start coming in at some point. We've got the fairies coming. There's really never a dull moment on that show!"

She assures us that more underworld beings in year three is not a bad thing. Quite the opposite, in fact!

"They just showed us the first episode of the season that they edited all together, and we were all blown away," Carrie says. "I'm on the show about the bar, somebody else is on the show about the vampires [and] somebody else is on the show about the werewolves. It feels like we're on all these different shows, so you don't really know how it's all going to come together until you see it. We did—it's pretty thrilling."

Will Arlene be joining any of the supernatural gangs? "Right now, she's fully human," Carrie says. "She's a little scared about the whole supernatural world, but she is grappling with a very human thing this season."

We cannot wait for more True Blood! Are you as excited as we are? Mourn the loss of Bill and Sookie in the comments below and let us know what you're thinking about season three.
