Brittany Murphy's Husband Wished to Be Buried Next to Her

Simon Monjack may be reunited with late wife at Forest Lawn; funeral arrangements in the works

Their marriage tragically cut short, Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy will be reunited in death.

E! News has learned that the screenwriter will be laid to rest on Thursday next to his famous wife, who died just six months before he did.

Murphy was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills on Dec. 24.

Monjack was found dead on Sunday night in the home he shared with Murphy and her mother, Sharon.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday, but coroner's officials say the official cause of Monjack's death won't be announced for several weeks, pending the result of toxicology tests.

Previously, the medical examiner told E! News that there were no signs of foul play and that prescription medication had been recovered. Family rep Roger Neal had said that Monjack suffered from a heart problem, jibing with initial police speculation that Monjack died of a heart attack.

Now that the autopsy is complete, Neal said the family was able to finalize memorial plans.

The private service will take place at 3 p.m.
