The third time is not going to be the charm for Megan Fox.

Paramount Pictures confirmed Wednesday that production on Transformers 3 is moving forward without the franchise's resident hottie, E! News has confirmed.

So why did Michael Bay say she'd totally be back for the threequel? What a Decepticon!

Sure, Fox said all sorts of ridiculous things and chomped into the hand that fed her with the lethal teeth she sported in Jennifer's Body, but Bay acknowledged that her "crazy quips are part of her crazy charm" and said he still loved working with her.

But in the end, Paramount left her contract by the wayside, and according to Fox's rep, it was her idea.

"It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best," the rep tells People.

The 24-year-old actress whom men's magazines love to obsess over played Shia LaBeouf's inexplicable love interest (he's cute, but he's no Megan Fox!) in the first two films.

There's been no word yet on who's up for the requisite role of Woman Who Looks Great Running, but the cast is filling out pretty nicely just the same, counting LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand and John Malkovich among those onboard.
