Style Showdown: Leighton Meester vs. Zoe Saldana

Actresses wear similar ikat-print frocks by Italian designer Giambattista Valli to two separate events. Who wears it better?

This spring, stars are battling it out over ikat! And no wonder, Giambattista Valli's use of the colorful ethnic print is so fresh and cool.

Last night, Leighton Meester wore a white V-neck Valli with black Phi buckle boots to her Date Night movie premiere in NYC. She looks pretty cute from this angle, except her hair could use a good brushing. Then it gets cra-zay in the back, but that's just this Gossip girl reminding everybody how edgy she is. Uh-huh.

Meanwhile, Avatar's Zoe Saldana rocked a similar dress to the Directors Guild Awards in February. This style's wild, too: It kind of looks like a high-end potato sack. And we love that Zoe went for it with matching ankle-strap shoes, total fashionista-style—somehow it works.
